Migiri: Adult Content Blocker

This app has a remarkable system that makes access to explicit content near impossible. I also love the companion system that notifies a loved one who can check up on you should you slip. However there is a glaring loophole one could utilize to bypass migri’s filters. That loophole is proxy browsers. Browsers like tor, opera, epic browser, along with many other free proxy website found online can easily bypass migri’s filters. I have blocked 244 sites using the migri filter in order to restrict all these avenues to the best of my ability. If I could suggest that migri give the option for us to notify our companion if we try to access a website that we have blocked using the filter. Also I know it may be tough but is there any way migri can catch should they decide to use a proxy browser? Other than this loophole this app is fantastic!

I'm still within my free trial of Migiri and seriously contemplating subscribing and buying the annual membership. I first got Migiri and I was a little skeptical. I had tried other blockers and things, but the fact that Migiri focused or seemed to want to focus on MORE than just blocking, drew me to it. Before I get on to talking about why I love the app, I will say that I wasn't pleased about not getting notifications from the app or my chosen companion getting emails to celebrate / cheer me on. I emailed the Migiri team about the issue and they responded quickly and a few days later, the issue was resolved. It means a lot to be that I, as a user, was treated respectfully, in a timely manner, and heard. Now, going back to what i've enjoyed from Migiri... I loved that there were some lessons to help me contemplate my addiction and behaviors. I love that one of the lessons helped focus on accepting a relapse and doubling down on the commitment to quit. I can't say for anyone else, but that lesson really helped me get to understand who I am, what I need, and why I relapse. So yes, I would suggest this app to anyone who's trying to quit porn. A blocker isn't good enough because there is always a way to circumvent it if you look hard and long. However, a blocker that also helps you change and grow so that you can some day not need a blocker so well worth the price. As for all of y'all on this journey, you got this and keep at it. You're not alone and you do matter. I would suggest y'all get this app and also try groups, therapy, blockers, church, and friends. Every positive relationship is another strand in the net to keep you from falling.

This app has truly done a great wonder in my life. I’ve been struggling with the addiction of pornography since the age of 6 and I am now 20 years old. Throughout those years I always wonder if I would ever be able to defeat the addiction and grew hopeless because it was so easily accessible and I never could fight the temptation no longer than a couple of days. I gave my life to Jesus Christ in 2017 and that was the only time I quit cold Turkey and didn’t watch porn for almost a year. My life was great! But one day I fell and there my life became a horror story again because of this addiction. Trying to fight the urges on my own once again became too difficult. Feeling ashamed I kept this dark secret to myself. But just recently I decided enough was enough and began to fight back. First I told a few trusted colleagues what I struggled with and that helped life the first stone off of becoming free. I then decided to give this a chance and from the beginning I new it wouldn’t disappoint and boy was I right. I can now say that I am truly free from this addiction and my life is so much better. My relationship with Jesus has grown and his hand has truly moved in my life. Thank you so Migiri from the bottom of my heart. The world needs to to know about you!!
