This app works great when you first get it. The first 50 or so scans quickly look up, and then I don’t know whether it’s after a certain number of scans or timeframe, but I can no longer use it at all because all it does is throw up the ad wanting me to spend FIFTY BUCKS for the pro version. Oh, and that’s just for a year. If you dismiss that nag screen and try to scan something again, throws a random ad in your face and does not give you scan results. Also I’d take a look at their privacy policy. It’s written to sound like a real privacy policy. But it isn’t. All it says is “we will use whatever data we collect on you in whatever way we want as long as it doesn’t break the law at this moment. Oh, and we don’t have to tell you what we’re going to use it for unless we have to under the law.” If you’re comfortable with that and the fact that after 50 or so scans be at becomes useless unless you pay them $50, hey go ahead and download it. It works well at first.
What really makes this by far the best QR reader is it's speed. I've seen reviews saying that it's slow, but as far as my experience goes, I'd give it a 10/10. It's almost instantaneous when I have plenty of light. What I also like is it's sleek design. I don't like the hideous icons and UIs of pretty much every QR reader in the App Store. I like how this thing looks in my home screen. It's kinda weird to say this, but I like icons that look like they all came from the same developer. If you're looking for a QR reader, this is the one to get. Period.
If you are looking for an application that can read pretty much any barcode out there including QR codes, this is the app to buy. I work at a hospital where everyone has badges that have a barcode on the for their employee ID, since I work in IT I have to enroll these badges and the easiest way to do it right is by scanning the barcode. Sometimes random numbers get added to their employee number. This app makes it easy and scans everything!
