Protagonist: Decision Making

Protagonist has been extremely helpful tool to not only help make decisions but keep them clear and simplified. I can have a lot of thoughts on a project I'm working on at any given moment but unless I have someway of referencing all of that, its easy to loose track of what was important and has value in my decision making. Even if you are someone with pretty good gut instincts, its a helpful tool to process those decisions, so you don’t question anything later. And if/when you are working with others it can help you show what needs to be focused on as a group to knock out decisions and move on to the next project. All in all just a helpful tool both in and out of a work setting.

I’ve never had a good tool to help me make important decisions in my life. I usually just lose sleep going back and forth in my head over and over. Instead, Protagonist helped me make visible sense of my thoughts and options. I used it to decide if I should focus my current savings plan on a long term goal of a condo down payment or a short term goal of living abroad for part of the year. Without the help, I am not sure if I would have focused and worked towards either goal. Now I am Paris bound in 2022!

There were too many options and variables for me and my hubby to decide on whether to send our blind 5yo back to the classroom part-time, or just stay with what was “kind of” working with virtual school. Our hearts were heavy, and the decision was so hard we couldn’t bare to make it with all of the random data and misinformation floating around the internet and parent forums and from his school and teachers. This app helped us really sit down and think about the key options and considerations that mattered most to us, weigh the factors based on our own unique situation (special needs kiddo on an IEP) and finally make a decision that felt right for us and our little dude. We kept him virtual BTW and in my heart I know we did the right thing. Now pandemic rates are lessening and come Fall, the decision will be up for another go-around, but this app really gave us the tools we needed to make fast and hard decision in a really accelerated time frame. Idk what we would’ve done otherwise. Honestly, probably flipped a coin and cried a lot more.
