Prism has been an excellent tool for tracking my child's progress at school. I can get insightful pictures and information about how a class is going & what they're learning. With my added input, l can expand my child's portfolio of education by adding in what they're learning outside and inside school as well. It's a must have for homeschool and kids in schools using this app!
As a new homeschool mom in WV, the thought of putting together a portfolio for each of my kids honestly felt a little intimidating. I knew I didn’t want to just submit a few random worksheets at review time. I wanted something organized… But also meaningful. Something that actually showed who my kids are, how they think, and what they’re learning beyond just checking boxes. In came Prism! What I love most about Prism is that it feels less like “record keeping” and more like storytelling. It allows me to capture real learning moments: Conversations, projects, field trips, scavenger hunts, everyday discoveries.. And not just completed assignments. The UI is simple but beautiful and intuitive (which matters when you’re already juggling homeschool life), and it makes it easy to add reflections and artifacts in a way that feels natural instead of forced. It’s literally as easy as creating a Facebook post! And even better, the Assistant feature helps curate that cohesive story I didn’t realize I was needing— whether in a professional format; where it develops a transcript you can export or create a link to share with your portfolio reviewer, to curating a report of their learning story that you can share with loved ones. Instead of scrambling in the spring to piece together a portfolio, I feel like I’m building one intentionally all year long. Prism helps me see the bigger picture of my kids’ growth, and that alone has been worth it. I’m so grateful I found this app and can’t wait to keep using it as our homeschool journey unfolds ❤️ Thanks for creating Prism, Tomis!!!
We use this app to keep track of our homeschooling journey. I love that we can upload photos easily from the phone and we’re able to put in multiple photos. If you have more than one kid it’s easy to assign a learning moment to one or more kid. Including a text message to go with the photos is also easy. Easy to navigate between older moments and add new ones. It also has a section that generates resources such as goal progress, creates a portfolio, suggests strewing ideas, and an academic transcript. Very please with this app and all its capabilities!!!!
