Podbean Podcast App & Player

I have been using Podbean for several years and it functions just fine, it's just cluttered with too many options. With the latest update my podcasts I'm following no longer appear on the main screen. Instead there are only Podcasts they want to advertise and I have to search for my saved podcasts in the search bar. Who thought that makes sense?! Also, too many controls to modify (some of which you accidentally modify and don't realize it and subsequently have to spend time figuring out how to get it back). If someone would create a BISIC podcast app with only the basic controls they would win over the vast majority of people who don't have a coding/IT background. My son is an IT specialist and I asked him why do all these apps get "updated" but nothing really changes? For instance, they move the action button from the top left to the top right, or down another screen... same function but now I have to re-learn the app. My son just looks at me. He says the developers make it better in ways I don't know about. Well changing how the basic functions works isn't an improvement; adding 1000 more options isn't helping the VAST majority of regular people who use the app. Hey let's have "PodBean Basic" for the masses and "PodBean Pro" for the tech people who love to be able to change the order of every episode or change the color or whatever else you can change just for changes' sake. I like that idea! Until then I will continue to be surprised when I open the app to listen to my favorite Podcast and the screen looks different than the day before.

salice rose Contant is decently funny she motivates women and men she’s not biased towards one gender. The quality is phenomenal and I believe everyone should try this app out. You don’t have to pay anything and you get to listen to this amazing broadcast so far I’ve only listen to Salice rose, but after I run out of listening to her audios, I will further try to listen to motivational podcasts on here. The one thing I will say is if you have to be hands-free and you’re listening to a podcast after the podcast ends, it repeats itself instead of going to the next podcast and that’s the only thing that I don’t like but the sides that this app is amazing and I love listening to my podcast through here because if I was listening to a podcast through a music app is going to play the podcast then play music after what I’d rather be listening to a podcast the entire time. Definitely go check out Salice rose. She hits a bunch of different topics and helps you find different ways to think of things.

Read most of the comments here. Wished I had of read before I used the app to start my podcast. No good news here for the most part. I downloaded the app at the recommendation of a friend who says he was using the app to stream, so maybe he wasn’t using the record features. In any case I think it’s weird you can only record episodes on the app but not on the computer dot com web address; I also hate the recording editor! It’s useless; it doesn’t edit in seconds just in big chunks and the line bars to create the edits with keep overlapping each other and screwing up the cut off points or split points! My God thee worst NOT SO USER FRIENDLY SITUATION EVER!! My iPhone voice memo app made better edits to the recordings that I made in the bean after I exported them. Literally took under 60 seconds and so easy to do. Also Podbean doesn’t accept artwork from sites that help you to create files in exact Apple podcast criteria. You waste your time making the file in another app according to the Apple criteria 1400x1400 or 3000x3000 pixel (I even compressed mine)and then podbean says the image is too large to upload to their platform, I literally spent hours trying to align image criteria between the two platforms to get my podcast on iTunes and it NEVER WORKED, after many tears and prayers I just gave up! I think the developers need to have a way to assist clients to create the right kind of artwork for Apple iTunes within the pod-bean app and reconcile sizes to fit on both. To be a not so technical person trying to do all this stuff is treacherous 😢I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP TO ANYONE
