I’ve been using this app for several years now and while they don’t seem to be a ton of updates, the ones that happen seem to be thoughtful and helpful. I do have two additional requests: 1. After reading an issue, it would be great to have an easier way to find the next. For example, right now, if I read an issue of all about history, I have to close out of that and go back to the list of favorites find all about history again, open that, and then select the next issue to read. Instead, it would be easier if I could just open all about history because I’m already in an issue of it, and then select another one to read. 2. It would be helpful to see the publication date with the image thumbnails. There are quite a few magazines that I would love to subscribe to. Unfortunately, I find out that it hasn’t been published for several years only after opening the thumbnail to learn more about this particular publication. Thank you in advance for taking the time to review this request.
Items purchased appear in a magazine library. We can view titles in portrait or in landscape modes. It is a chore at times to find magazines that you want to read as they are in selling categories, not searched for in alphabetical listings. I thought that if I had purchased a title that I could download it to my computer and view it in any of my viewers anywhere. So this is not really magazine ownership as it would be if you went to Barnes & Noble. So I must try to remember what I bought from this service, and from all the others I use. So I cannot file them in categories in my centralized magazine folders on my computer. It requires a database of purchased books and magazines of various services to know what is around.
What appeals to me personally about Pocketmags is having one location to go to check on any new editions available for download on my subscriptions. It’s nice to have individual apps that support their individual magazine as well. It’s nice having an interface that allows me to see all my favorite subscriptions at a glance, observe any new editions I may have somehow missed the notification of their coming available, then immediately download it into my personal library. Later, it can be accessed by my Pocketmags app, or by the particular magazines app. seamlessly. Navigation and search is intuitive in nature which enriched my experience as a subscriber. Navigation, utilizing the digital version of my magazines is nicely interactive as well. This allows a more immersive reading experience. All around it’s a decent app. I hope you find it as useful and dare I say as entertaining as I do! Happy reading! - Danny Kunz - Kunz Kustoms -
