TL;DR: This app is a great resource, and it helped me pass my exam, but there is some room for improvement, and it best used alongside other resources, including full length practice tests. Giving this 4 stars because I passed the exam on my first shot, but there are some areas for improvement. Frankly, the “hard” questions need to be a bit more challenging. On the exam, some of the questions you see will have 4 answers that all could work, and you’ll need to choose the “best” one. Also, a few more questions where you need to decide what the PM should do “first” would be helpful. As others have said, the app needs the ability to shuffle the missed questions. Analytics on how you’ve done the first time you’ve seen a question would also be helpful. Finally, the ability to take full length practice tests and access the app purchase from multiple devices would be helpful as well.
I enjoyed the simple format and the ease of the app. Basically used it as a night reading material everyday before bed. I took the exam in March 2025, the questions here are very useful to get you into the right mindset and prepare you with more than what I saw on the exam. I do find the calculation questions on the app more complex than my real exam. Also on this app you only chose one alternative whereas on the real exam there are questions with 2 or 3 alternatives that need to be selected. I really recommend focusing on you weakness areas ”people, process, business” as the app shows you. I should have followed the app on my weakness areas to boost my score. Overall, great tool for studying. I used this app in combination with other sources to pass my exam.
The PMP Exam Prep app was invaluable in helping me pass the PMP exam. I preferred the app over books as it is more convenient and thoroughly explains each question, describing the correct answer and why the other options are incorrect. Another feature lets you retry the questions you missed. My favorite feature is an option that allows you to flag questions you want to try again in the future. The developers practice Agile PM themselves by offering an option to provide direct feedback to them with each question. I appreciate the ability to answer a few PMP questions on your iPhone wherever you are, including waiting in the dentist's office or riding in a car.
