Passed the PMP Exam on June 26 with an overall “Above Target” rating. I bought the full app 40 days ago, and used it every day as a tool to prepare for the PMP exam on the go. Does not replace having to study and learn the PMBOK and other material, but the questions are at a similar difficulty (still easier than) the real PMP exam. Answered 30-50 questions in the simulator, every day for 40 days. Struggled at times, that is a normal part of the process. Highlights: 1) Question of the day prompts, a new question every day. You enter the number of days before the exam into the app, and it counts down the days to 2) Bank of 800 questions with a timer. The timer helps you with pacing. There were even (many) more unique questions beyond that, the dashboard measured 800. 3) For every question, an explanation of the right answer and often an explanation of why the other answers are not the best answers for the question. Also a PMBOK reference page for the right answer so you can review. 4) Your account keeps track of your history, sorting the questions into 14 sub-categories. Each sub-category aligns with chapter 1-14 of the PMBOK. The last week of studying before the exam, I went through my account history, studying the sub-categories of worst performance, studying every question I got wrong. For each wrong question, reviewed the PMBOK and exam prep guide referring to those related topics. Awesome product; great value... recommended. Good luck with your studies.
I never write reviews, but it was such an achievement to pass the test from the first time, that I thought I just had to do it. FYI: I passed with a mark ‘above target’ as well!!! This is a great app and I used it EVERY day. Be it a simple Question of the Day or a mock exam. Beware that your questions on the exam are very different. Mine were all (except few formula questions, and I literally mean ‘a few’) situation-based where the questions in this app are mostly from the PMBOK. However, once you get good with the app questions, the exam questions become easy, too. This app will provide you with knowledge you can use during the exam. I enjoy the clean interface as well. So simple and easy to use. My advice: become good with the exam taking. You have to become a pro pf reading the question right and screening for the right answer. You literally have a little over a minute for each question. This app will help you with the prep for sure!
I passed my PMP today and this app was one of the resources that I used. It was really useful in identifying gaps in my knowledge but I am not convinced that it should be your only resource to pass the exam. The app has a nice interface and functions well; definitely superior to the other apps out there. The reasons I did not give this 5 stars are as follows: 1. There is a huge focus on ITTOs, which I did not encounter on the exam; I recommend throughly understanding each process and the ITTOs will fall into place in your mind intuitively. 2. The more exams I took in the app, the slower it became. Although, once I answered all the questions, I reset the app and this seemed to fix the performance issues; although the second time around I was taking 100 question sets and not short 10 question tests. Maybe the smaller number of exams fixed the problem. Overall I recommend the app because it does have you go further in-depth into areas you may not have studied before. Good luck.
