In principle, this app brings back a functionality of the wonderful Aperture app that allowed you to compare similar photos and intelligently select which one to keep from a batch. Unfortunately, as it is currently implemented, it really does not match my needs for this process. The current workflow is just to move from one picture to the next and select when you find one you think you like more. But for this functionality to be useful, I really need to be able to go back-and-forth and compare any two arbitrary pictures to one another rather than just flick through everything once and be done. Also, the idea of keeping just one out of the set isnโt very helpful. I think if this used the film strip more interactively and allowed you to select pics and comparisons directly from it, then it might start to be really useful. Also, I think it very much needs to have a built-in assumption that you may choose to keep any number of pictures from the sequence, not just one
I use a mirrorless camera and will sometimes take a *few* too many photos at the same time, often trying to capture just the right shot. Iโve looked all over for an app that directly integrates with my Photos Library and allows me to pick the best photo(s) from a bunch. This app does the job really well, and I am excited to see how the app gets even better with further development. Mac and iPad apps would be amazing; I hope they are on the road map!
