Pastest USMLE

I came across this question bank last year is a first year medical student. The biggest draw was that it was free at the time. I have used it here in there as review for step one coming up in a few months as well as for certain local exams. I really like that they highlight pertinent information after you have answered the question. All in all, I really have nothing negative to say about the app, but, with that being said, there isn’t really anything super stellar about it either. I’m interested to see what the prices are and if they’re comparable to other question banks. They are very new, so it will be interesting to see how they rank with the other question banks that are paid. I wouldn’t use this as a first or even a second question bank, but if you already have two question banks and you’re interested in a third, I would consider using this one.

I have yet to take STEP1 or complete any other Qbanks which limits my ability to really assess the quality of these questions. However, my general impression is that they are overall solid. There are some questions that are softballs and some that test info found nowhere in First Aid but by and large they are solid questions that get you used to reading clinical question stems. My favorite part is the app functionality and filters. It's super easy to filter questions for just what you want and see only questions you haven't seen before. Or you can go back and review what you've gotten wrong. Overall a very useful supplement to my curriculum.

I’ve been using this app for several months as a way to supplement my classroom learning and track how my knowledge grows as I study more. I think the questions and explanations are very good, and similar in style and quality to other top tier programs. The app developers and clinical support teams are super responsive to questions and feedback, which is surprisingly comforting. There is a lot of customization available in the app, but I never found it super easy to do that, so I just use the default of all topics in my question banks. Overall, this is a solid app to use for either supplemental learning during 2nd year or for USMLE prep.
