Onleihe

I use this app 90% to listen to audiobooks. Sometimes the app will freeze as soon as you try to get go the player. „failed to open stream“ with several titles, downloaded or not, can’t really follow the instructions from the website. Restarting the app, logging outredownloading the app and restarting my phone several times worked (maybe it was just time). Hope my library will move to Onleihe 3.0 soon.

I have spent too much time trying to make this app work in order to read books from the Goethe Institute‘s library. I certainly hope that Goethe is not paying any money for this app! Goethe offers a wonderful library that got me excited to read more German-language books. But the Onleih app oonly allows me to read a few chapters of each book before it will no longer load a page. The pages remain gray and never quite load. The option of using the website also does not work for more than a half-day. And it looks impossible to actually reach a human who might help. (The audiobooks by contrast have worked fine for me. So they are maybe the one reason to keep the app.)

I can't change the settings in the reader any longer (on iOS), such as text size, background color, or spacing. This makes reading any book rather uncomfortable (since I am stuck with a very small text size and a very bright, blinding background) and is unfortunate as there is no other format / reader I can use with books I checked out. Will there be a fix for this anytime soon?
