The App is full of glitches. If I open the door with the app, it will indicate door opening but will not recognize that the door fully opened. Another words, the App gets stuck in the “opening” mode and will not let you then close the door using the app. Same thing happens when you close the door with the App. Very frustration. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the controllers but it did not help the problem. Another glitch I experienced is when the App thinks there is something blocking the beam but there is nothing there. It will not close the door remotely and requires you to push the wall button to close the door. Again, what good is a smart App if you cannot control the garage doors remotely. Again, very frustrating. Called Nice technical support and the person would not say that the there was a problem but kept saying that maybe it would be fixed in the next update. My question over and over is how can something be fixed if it’s not an issue. Tech support would not admit there was an issue but only would say, “it should be fixed in the next update.” I would not by a Linear door opener that uses the Nice app. Try Liftmaster or another brand. Friends have the Liftmaster and it works great. So want this opener and App to work but it does not look like it will be reliable using the App, anytime soon.
Great app and very convenient to operate out entry gate by phone. The confirmation messages you get after performing an action like open or close is reassuring. The function is reliable and is rare when the interface malfunctions. Mostly when it does it’s related to WIFI failure. One feature I think would be a nice addition to the app would be the addition of a timed open and close function. I find that I typically open and close the entry gate at the same times of the day and night. This would be a great feature and probably fairly easy to program. Overall this is a great application and extremely useful to have WiFi operation.
This app works great when you first started it but since the last update, it says, I have to keep updating the firmware and I can’t open and close my garage with my iPhone 15 max. When I open the app, it goes directly to a login screen, and then it gives me the option to “update firmware only “at the bottom which I try to do, but it says I have to connect with Bluetooth connection which my Linear LDCO850 opener does not have. It has Wi-Fi but does not use Bluetooth. And apparently the app won’t let me use my phone to open or close the garage door without this Bluetooth connection. It worked great, absolutely perfect, until this last firmware update. I still get notifications when the garage door is opened with an opener, but I don’t have the option to open or close with my phone anymore.
