I’m not sure what the app company gets in kickbacks from the plant providers but I don’t care. This app is pure genius. Without an ounce of plant know-how, I managed to transform my entire first floor into a Garden of Eden. It’s been a few months now and every one of the 11 plants that were recommended is still thriving. I started with just a few and now I can’t stop. Call it a healthy addiction. Thanks to Neverland and whatever crew of mad geniuses is behind this app!
The idea is nice and it is aesthetically pleasing but it doesn’t really deliver as promised. When you add plants to your garden it auto identifies them and is wrong half of the time and there is no way to change it. It’s not so easy to browse plants unless you are interested in just the basic plants. Everything I try to look at a grouping like desert plants it just gives me a black screen but it does let me look at individual plants just fine. The information on the plants is what you would see on the tags at a store so not very informative or accurate, everything needs soil, water and light so I’m not sure what this app is supposed to do other than try and sell us basic plants.
I just downloaded it today and it’s been great…when I can use it. It took forever to even be able to make an account because whenever I’d get to the third part, the screen would go black. I was eventually able to get logged in and it’s a well built app, easy to maneuver and intuitive. The selections are still pretty small (and I have some personal opinions on prices, but that’s not the app itself), but there’s a variety and I’d rather have several small groups to choose from than one or two really large. Again, though, it has been a struggle to use the app because every time I open it I have between 30 seconds to two minutes before the screen goes black and it crashes. I’m not sure if it’s my phone that’s doing this or the app itself. I’m still super interested in Neverland and I’m sure it’s a fixable problem no matter who’s end it’s on, can’t wait to explore more
