Yes, it works. Overall, the app does a fairly good job controlling the mower The mower is itself does a goos job of the actually clipping of grass. But the app and software that runs could be improved: 1. Allow for zone mowing ordering and even in a scheduled mowing tasks. 2 Allow for a higher number of zones than 12. It seems like it would be enough, but I could use a few more. One for a dedicated service zone so that I will just go to the same spot for me to replace the blades or other maintenance tasks Thereโs some other smaller things but those are the big ones.
I started using my Siri Navimow the first day in July. Itโs 1 September and this is my two month review. Iโm in my late 60s so Iโm not a gamer but I found it very easy to set up the Navimow using my phone. I had a little problem finding a good place to put my 4G extender that also works great. I was mowing my yard six days out of the week when I first started, but now that the grass is used to the mower and the way it operates. I only cut my grass twice a week, Iโve got it scheduled and everything works automatically. The only thing Iโve had to do in the last two months is go out and change the blades and I did have one or two times when the mower got stuck in little spots in my yard I easily corrected the areas where it did get stuck and now itโs working great, I live on highway all the time stopping and asking about it. I should start a Segway Navimow dealership in my hometown in Illinois. My only complaint is I wish I wouldโve gotten the quarter acre I series I got the 1/8 acre does the job very good but it does have to charge two or three times while it does my yardI would like to Navo be able to have a battery update so I could take a battery from my eye series and replace it with the quarter acre series battery that would be great
This Navimow unitโs programming gives it a careful, but feisty personality, so we named it Herbie, after the 1969 Love Bug. Since then Iโve encountered unexpected wrinkles in itโs behavior, which make me wonder what is happening in his head, and want to rename it Tommy, after the pinball wizard. For instance, it seems to remow borders after the app shows theyโre totally mowed. Sometimes it approaches an unmowed spot repeatedly stopping short, or reverses in an unimpeded straight strip. Before I try to improve the lawn topography it would help to know why itโs doing what itโs doing. Is it navigating by GPS or vision? Or is it doing a maneuver to avoid hitting something or getting stuck? Does Tommyโs light flash white when it starts or stops mowing, or both? The app could also make it easier to go slowly and make small steering corrections when defining a boundary. And there was no warning when I wanted to redefine part of a boundary that it would navigate that in the opposite direction than I originally mapped it. Itโs also unclear how to clear the mowing progress shading on the map from the last mowing in preparation for the next mowing. Overall this is an incredible and fun app for a remarkable machine. (I loved showing Herbie at work to my brother while we were both in a different state!) Please keep improving this app.
