Mystery Matters

This is my second favorite game, but the game is so greedy. The match three part of it which you have to play to do anything cheers. You can’t use strategy because you make combinations that just dont appear. You play the hard levels over and over again. It gets so boring. The game makes you use all your coin to get out of the hard levels and use all your tools. So when you have neither anymore it wants you to buy. Even if you do purchase once a month it isn’t enough. If the match three didn’t cheat you and try to make you purchase coins to get out of a level this would be a top notch game. But it’s so greedy. Even greedy on giving tools. As much as I love this game it might be to greedy and too boring on the match 3 part of it, it may make me delete this app. The other two parts of this game are fun and exciting, which is why I’m still here but you have to constantly play the match 3 to do anything which would be great if the game didn’t cheat. So how many days do you have to play the same super hard levels before the algorithm decides to give it to you then you can’t loose if you try. I will tell you many days playing several times a day. It’s just greed! And boring.

I like the cute little mystery and the decorating part of the game. And I also enjoy hidden object and match 3 games in general. But here is the problem. The Match 3 levels get too difficult - really quickly. Many levels must be played over and over and over again just to get past them. To get 5 extra plays, it costs 900 coins and you can only earn 20 to 25 coins per level won. This means a player must win close to 40 Match 3 levels just to earn enough coins to get 5 extra turns ONE time. That is totally ridiculous! The boosters are not easily earned either, so I don’t want to use them. Of course, there is the option to buy coins to get extra turns. But there are too many difficult levels to start depending on coin purchases. A little bit about me…I love gaming! And I have no issue with spending a lot of money for gaming until I feel like a game is designed to set players up to fail. Just FYI Playrix, I do not like playing a level 10 times to get past it. It takes the joy out of the game for me. And when I feel constant frustration when I’m playing a game, I don’t spend my way out of it. I delete the game. But when I am really enjoying a game, I will happily make purchases in the game because I feel like game developers deserve to be paid. However, Mystery Matters feels like more of a money grab than entertainment, so it will soon be removed from my iPad.

I started the game a few days ago because it looked super interesting! I LOVED it and have been playing since but what I’m noticing is that I’m getting stuck on the hard and super hard levels which then takes away all my boosters/power ups and then I’m stuck on the same level for a day or two! You can use coins to continue playing but it’s been sooooo hard building up the coins to be able to do so. I wish it was easier to build up coins like in Dream Mania(another match 3 game I LOVE)! Even the regular levels are a bit difficult without the extra power ups! Those also aren’t given out easily either so without any available and any of the extra for beating 3 levels in a row on top of NEVER being able to keep over 900 coins it’s really difficult to want to keep playing! Also I think you should add into the extra boosters is extra moves as well, there just aren’t enough moves sometimes to beat these levels which is super frustrating as the premise of this game is AMAZING! I wish I could just keep playing!! Over all a really fun and interesting game just wish a few of these things would change! It also doesn’t seem like I’m the only one that has this opinion so maybe take the players thoughts into consideration😀 Thanks!
