This is a murder mystery, seek and find puzzle game, and storyline where you get to make the key choices. No ads, diverse characters, intriguing storyline, challenging seek and find games, and puzzle mini games. This is an ice cream sundae of a game, with all the toppings. The hidden object puzzles are challenging, but don’t make you want to throw your phone at the wall, and aren’t boringly easy. The storyline is so well thought out and is very impacted by the choices you make and the relationships you develop with the characters. The characters and diverse in their personalities, speech, religion, culture, and demeanor, and friendships impact the storyline as well as bickering. Another Nordcurrent game, called Murder in the Alps, is incredible as well if you want the storyline without having to make impactful choices. An imaginative feature between these two games is the energy earning. Whenever you use 1000 energy on one app, you can click to receive 100 free energy on the other app. The energy slows you down and doesn’t let you finish it in two days, letting you have a longer experience in total. This is an example of a simply perfect game. I can’t wait to see what else Nordcurrent comes up with. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I’ve played a lot of games from the App Store and as we all know these in-app-games are set up for you to spend money to advance in it. Some games are actually fairly reasonable in their requirements of when they want you to spend money. This murder by choice is a really engaging and enjoyable game to play, until you “need” to buy energy to advance. Out of all the games I’ve played this game is about the greediest game to play. I’ve said it before and will say it again here. I don’t care how good a game is. If I have to spend a fortune to be able to play it I’ll just delete it. And this game falls right into that category. I earned 50 energy points to add to the 14 I had but don’t think I got 10 minutes of play time out of that much energy. So tell me, how much play time am I going to receive if I start dishing out money? I’m not going to find out. I gave this game two stars because it’s a great game. Otherwise it would’ve only gotten one star. An update, since my first review I tried watching a video to obtain 10 energy points. After the video ended, the download indicator spun in circles endlessly, never receiving the 10 energy points. This game is worthless and not worth the thought of even open it. In all my years of playing cyber games I’ve never seen such greedy developers. I am noting this games maker (s) and will not download anything else from them. Do NOT waist your time with this game aside from how good it might be it is a total waist of time!
I really like that the game doesn’t force ads and lets people opt in or out of them. But I’ve had the same complaints about energy as everyone else. Together, I’ve tried to use the feature of watching an ad and getting 10 energy. I think that’s a great idea. But if I watch an ad, there’s an about 50% chance that a “discrepancy” will be found and “a rollback [will be] issued” which deletes the energy received from watching the ad. At that point the options are to purchase energy, rewatch the ad, or close the game. I sometimes rewatch the ad but this bug really kills the enjoyment of the game and discourages me from trying the ad exchange or a regular purchase in the future. When another nordcurrent game, Happy Clinic, has an issue fulfilling an ad-related reward, it puts up a notice that the reward will be delivered later, and then it actually is. This would help and be a good middle ground from where the game is now and actually improving the energy system. I will say that if I could complete more than two tasks per day, whether that be from decreased energy cost or increased regeneration, I really doubt i’d encounter this issue as much or be as frustrated by it. Thanks for enticing games, have a nice day UPDATE: I left the game fully closed for more than 24 hours and came back to 160 energy. That was enough to finish the task I’d started before I set it down and do one other thing.
