this is unbelievable, I mean this app never had much to begin with, it’s utilities are so limited, complicated and unhelpful, now after the update to version 3.8 which is complimentary, it says bug fix, but after I updated it, the app which was originally working fine, now it simply shuts down when I try to use it, I do not understand what kind of bug fix this is, it’s more like add bug, what’s more unbelievable is, this condition has last now for 3 weeks! Nobody is fixing this! Nobody cares about the users at all! Or maybe there is never any other users at all, and the developers never run tests!
This app has simplified so much for me and I love the fact that the “hakikisha” option gives ample time for one to ensure that they have sent money to the right recipient. It’s also great when you choose the recipient from the contact list and this is unlike the normal Sim Application option in the phone settings. The loan section is equally quite convenient since you have access to your loan balances, savings and loan limits all on one page. Kudos Safaricom team! However, kindly ensure that you constantly fix bugs and app malfunction since sometimes when one is mid-transaction, the app hangs or fails to bring up the “Enter PIN” dialog box. Or sometimes you’ve already entered the PIN and the transaction seems to have gone through but then it hangs and one isn’t sure if money was debited from the account or if it’s safe to repeat the transaction.
The app is very handy with great UI. There are a few challenges however; The app should incorporate all a client’s services/subscriptions, like the Safaricom FTTH. Being able to manage that service within the app would be a great addition. Sometimes the app fails to launch and freezes at the splash screen and has to be terminated and it relaunched to have access to functionalities. After the relaunch, the app runs fine. Finally, the API that starts the transaction authorization fails to bring up the “Enter PIN” page occasionally and the process prematurely ends at that bit
