myNoise - The Soundscape App

I’ve been using myNoise on my iPad for years, mostly via the older app, some via the website. myNoise helps me greatly with insomnia, stress, and tinnitus, transports me from my limited surroundings, and brings me much happiness. The new app has a much more attractive, intuitive, and efficient interface. And it still does not sell our data. Hurray! Thank you! 🙏 I rave about myNoise every chance I get, and I always highlight 2 things: the huge library of incredibly skillful, beautiful, and varied recordings; and the ability to mix sounds into new soundscapes. The new app includes the complete selection of recordings, but I am eagerly awaiting the track combining feature. I need a purring kitty beside my roaring fireplace, after all! I have a feature request. Please give us a way to export even just a simple text list of our downloaded and favorited soundscapes, so that if we lose that information due to getting a new device, we can recreate them. I have grieved losing all of them when I got a new iPad. I guess I could take screenshots. I should probably do that as a precaution. But a feature to make this easier would be welcomed! (Update: I just got word that the team will be looking into something to address this!) I recommend to all myNoise users to read the app and website information thoroughly, and explore what you can do. There are lots of details that are not immediately obvious. Kudos to developer Stéphane and his helpers. What an amazing labor of love, that truly makes so many lives better.

I’ve been a user for yearssss many many years, I think about a decade now. And I just now read other reviews and realized why my old purchase wasn’t viable with the new app (still available with the old app!), regardless, I was still going to rate 5 stars because paying $20 for the new app *is worth it* to me. So now I have both! I just love this team, I have adored this app for years and it’s been so useful for airports, no cell service from hurricanes, and helping with insomnia while traveling as an easily homesick individual. Being able to control the sliders is so vital as someone who gets unpredictably annoyed by certain tones even with trusty white noise. I do hope to see the multi gen within the new app, it is the best aspect next to the sliders. Other than that, the sheer diverse range of sounds is incredible and it’s so exciting to see new ones pop up. I’m so proud of the developers for coming this far to bring us such a sleepsaving app.
