This app is trash. Almost never starts your vehicle… lots of technical issues. My experience has been horrible
Since the app redesign it is now no longer as obvious to determine if your vehicle is locked. Also for the Ariya EV it shows battery percentage as charging but the range doesn’t change while charging. It would be helpful to update the range while charging.
So I have to pay for Nissan connect on top of paying for Sirius satellite radio. You understand Apple Music, Spotify and Google Music all exist right? Why should I pay for Sirius to get music I can’t control? I can’t make playlists or search for particular songs. And it costs more than either of the aforementioned services.... if they had a “Sirius services” subscription for a low price I get stocks and traffic and fuel finder then it’s not so bad but they don’t. Then I gotta pay for connect on top of that? Highway robbery. (Get it? Lol) Especially since simple things like the simulator for the app so I can see what the connected experience is like doesn’t even work. How can I trust you are going to continue updating and fixing the app when you aren’t even trying very hard to sell it to new customers? Apple CarPlay does a better job than all your builtin stuff and costs me nothing. Rather than sucking Siruis’s D**K why not build an app that actually works and actually takes into account the modern world? One that provides the ability to start your car with your phone while also being able to plan a route with the map provider of your choice (guess what, it’s not Nissan...) If the app REQUIRES Sirius then a Sirius subscription should be included with the Nissan connect subscription and you should adjust your pricing accordingly. Saying “pay for connect and get Sirius free” Sounds a lot better than “pay for Sirius then also pay for connect” even if the two statements end up costing the same price. The “feeling” of paying twice feels bad. The worst part is being an app developer and knowing that beyond the initial development cost of the app (which judging by the build quality was extremely low) this services costs Nissan next to nothing to run. The subscription fee is probably 80-95% profit for Nissan. How about you include the service for being a Nissan customer, add a discount on a new Nissan when we trade in our exist one and you have customers for life. But corporate looks at it and says “but that might mean we get a smaller bonus cheque this year, let’s not do that” Even though it would make your customers SO happy! Just think of it as the Costco Hot Dog of Car Apps 👍
