I tested no fewer than 50 offline music player apps on iOS, and most of them felt half-baked in one way or another. Muziqi is the first one that really clicked. If your files are properly tagged, the library experience is excellent. Smooth scrolling, clean presentation, full artwork, and album details that actually make browsing enjoyable rather than frustrating. Playback has been flawless for me so far. I use Blip to transfer my FLAC files into the iOS Files app, and then Muziqi reads them directly from there. The workflow is smooth and reliable. Muziqi also supports other import options, but this Files-based setup has been the most convenient for me so far, especially if youโre managing a rotating offline library. The developer is also unusually responsive. There are still a few issues Iโve run into, but the dev has acknowledged them and promised fixes in upcoming updates, which goes a long way. Add an Apple USB-C dongle (or something like the FiiO KA11) to your iPhone, pair it with whatever IEMs or headphones you like, and youโve got a genuinely excellent, no-nonsense budget audiophile setup. Easy 5 stars.
No annoying adds and being able to sync music bro you just made my day especially with only having a $5 lifetime one time purchase versus apples $10 a month and they donโt even have a lifetime subscription like itโs a no brainer apple doesnโt even have a visualizer itโs like being back in the good ole nostalgia days but even better sure thereโs a few quirks here and there but still beats Apple Music because this music players level is over 9000! Awesome work man I canโt wait for more future updates to come an awesome idea would be to be able to seamlessly sync music from my PC to my phone like if you guys had an program for windows and Mac that can communicate to the app for even faster music library builds but still thank you thank you thank you I was getting annoyed with Apple so much and almost started to work on my own app until I came across yours keep up the awesome work!!!
This is a pretty great start, and has a lot of features that are important to me, starting with the ability to both import music from the stock Music app, while also being able to load music downloaded from e.g. Safari, via the Files app. Editing metadata in-app is great, too. That said, thereโs still some room to improve. For example, the new ability to add album art to albums and/or songs sounds great, but, I canโt actually get it to work. Thereโs no error message, just, when I click โaddโ, select โlocal fileโ, and then pick a jpeg, it closes the dialog but the art isnโt actually applied. Parts of the UI feel just a bit clunky, as well, though Iโm not sure I could articulate why. Anyway, all of that aside Iโm still way happier with Muziqi than with the stock music app, so far. The simple act of being able to just download music and add it without hooking up your device to a workstation is like a breath of fresh air.
