#2: C’mon MPR! Will you please improve your terrible app! I constantly have to unload it and reload it almost every time I want to play it. I would listen a lot more if this app worked better. Earlier review: This app is crap. I love to listen to MPR but the app constantly stops working. It seems like if I delete and reload it will work again. For a while. C’mon MPR! You can do a lot better than this. 3rd review: I guess you don’t care to keep listeners who listen to your news channel on the app. I used to listen religiously, but this crappy app is going to end my years of tuning to MPR. I CONSTANTLY have to delete and reload this app! You’re not some rinky-dink little neighborhood station-you should be able to provide a decent app!

I’m an MPR member and listen daily. I’ve found the app to be unstable, ceasing the stream frequently for no apparent reason requiring unloading and restart the app to resume the stream. This has happen as many as 3 times in 15 minutes. I’ve contacted MPR receiving a response with little or no helpful information other an acknowledgment that the issue exists, but no indication it will be addressed. I use the MPR app in our home using an iPhone 5S running iOS 12.5.4 which is the up to date version. This phone is only used to stream various content via WiFi and is not connect to a cellular network and does not have a SIM card installed. The WiFi is stable with as much as 400 Mbs download speed. I do not have similar issues with other streaming apps used with this phone including the Colorado PBS app. Considering my review and numerous other negative reviews about this app, it time MPR takes the issue seriously and update the app. I hope a fix is in place before it’s time to renew my MPR membership.

I’ve used this app for several years to access MPR online but it has become impossible to listen for more than a few minutes. The advertisements that play at the beginning have begun to play in the middle of stories, then begin interrupting themselves: ads playing in the midst of ads. It ends with ads playing every 10 seconds or so and I have to give up. This has happened with the mobile app and with streaming on my desktop computer. I’ve tried contacting the station for help with no luck. I loved this station for so long but can no longer listen or recommend the app. The information is so important these days but it’s impossible to get it from MPR’s streaming services.
