Motto Akemie

I’ve been a supporter of ALM modules and seeing them having something IOS is great. Akemie is a great little drum machine and run solid in logic. Nice to sample and just come up with crazy rhythms. Excited to see more from ALM on the store effects or more synths please!! Oh and I’m unable to save presets.

It’s very easy to program. The sounds that each drum can create is really cool considering how few controls there are. It’s easy to learn. The ability to set these controls per step is really cool (would be cool if you could draw it in like hammerhead though). The fact that everything is midi controllable is amazing and really sort of opens up the app in the coolest ways. I really like how you can set the speed of the sequencer for each drum separately and change how many steps each drum runs for. Not many drum apps have that sort of Euclidean aspect to them and it leads to really creative destinations. So I feel this app deserves the five star review in the state it’s in currently. If this app had multiout so that each drum could be on its own channel in AUM this app would be even more incredible and useful. I also would like to see a swing mode added as this a fairly big omission. Nice work developer. I’m excited to see if you choose to develop this app further and if you create more apps for iPad/ios.

I’m having a blast using this app with my expert sleep experts FH-2 eurorack module. Really fun to modulate parameters, mapping them using AUM. One thing that would take this app to the next level is the ability to trigger each voice independently. It would also be awesome if we could route the audio into individual channels. It would also be super cool if we could output MIDI from the sequencer. I love the sequencer’s functionality. Keep up the great work, ALM!
