I’m a big movie collector and my collection in recent years has gotten to the point where I have so many that I forget exactly what all I have. (That’s what happens when you’re near 3000 titles) Too many times I’d pick something up, just bring it home and find that I already owned it on my shelf. Memento helped me log my entire collection into a database that I can easily search and keep track of. Definitely a game changer. Doesn’t glitch, smooth and easy to operate, and not visually cluttered. Definitely a 5 star app, would recommend to any fellow collector!
If this app had some further development that solved the problems we found in it in our opinion, this would be a 5 Star rating. The app does have some very good distinctive features that do work though so it really is a good app otherwise. We could view an image field to a full page, but there sems to be no zoom or preview ability to zoom in further which makes viewing pictures of text documents difficult. We could not paste a clipboard image from other apps into a image field either. The image had to be saved as a file all the time and then imported into Memento. Search Filters you create in the IOS version and in the Macbook version do not sync. You have to recreate each Filter in each version of the app. Images - are - stored internally in the app and do sync. But Files and Audio field types only link to a copy of the content on the computer you are working on and apparently will not show their content on another IOS device or computer. It may be possible, but it was difficult to set the font and its size for fields. There doesn't seem to be a way to just have a small image of a picture in an entry. We picked the Thumbnail option in an image field settings and still the image was large view in an entry. These were our issues with the Memento app. Some of its outstanding features are that it can show a tabular List view of all the entries, it is very easy to create and apply search Filters, the app has an extensive choice of the kinds of data fields you can setup to keep your information in, the app - does - sync very well among your devices and the app is easy to use.
This is my most used app. Since released on iOS it has replaced at least 3 other apps I previously used. Having the capability to create a custom database to organize all of my customers, including addresses, location on a map, amenities and most any thing else is a game changer. The only thing missing is the ability to sort entries by location. I would highly recommend
