Mass - MIDI Generator

This is a really fun Midi instrument for $10. Even though there’s not a lot of presets, it is pretty easy to get started when you start poking around the interface. Once you’ve set your scale and done some minor tweaks, you can really get off to an interesting start for sequential pulse sequences. Once you feel confident there then you can start to explore some of the more random features using the built-in physics. You can really dive into some low-level config to create interesting polyrhythms. It took me a while to wrap my head around all of the details, but once you start playing, it becomes a lot more clear. Very happy with my purchase!

This is a rare example of genius at work. The concept of this note/music/sonic ecosystem app is nothing short of amazing. 1st time non musician to highly experienced sound artist musician go as deep as you want or float it’s all amazing.

Took a chance on this app and I’m happy I did. Great for making controlled oscillation effects with its ability to out put x y coordinates as midi outputs. Can easily generate beautiful ambient soundscapes. Was able to use the midi outputs to create a rhythmic lofi oscillator that added some beautiful dynamics to my loops. Having the animations to go along with the sounds was a nice touch. Some things that I would love to see added is more physics models. Example. A bounce effect could be use to create side chase effects when sent to a volume controller. An ability to add density gradients to the xy plane could be used to have greater control over the midi outputs generation. This is a great app to have handy as a loop artist.
