Wore this when I had COVID and was able to see my oxygen levels. Also my parents used this during their COVID experience and not only was their doctor able to see their oxygen levels but so was I. Even when I wasn’t able to check on them, at least I see how they were doing.

Hi, I’m want to share this experience in the hopes it helps others. When I was discharged from Baptist Hospital (West) after being admitted for double pneumonia and COVID I was given this monitor goes on my wrist like a Fitbit or Apple Watch and around my finger that works with the Masimo app. This little thing might look like much, totally incorrect this monitors my oxygen, respiration, and heart rate it is connect to nurses where they can see your stats. It works with bluetooth, when it goes off line even with f it’s less than 5 mins the nurse calls you, one time my phone was charging they immediately called my husband (backup number) . I was given this the day of my discharge March 1st , in the box comes other leads and replacement things very easy to use . This gadget has provided such peace of mind in this ordeal the transition to home , scared I have never gone through something like this, your mind races what if something happens when I’m alone at home or sleeping. It lifted a stress that would not have been conducive to my recovery. I thank the nurses and doctors for implementing this program. I hope all patients receive this to improve the quality of care which in-turn improves the patient’s quality of health. I thank Elsa for following up with me to see how I was doing periodically. Discharged from hospital with covid after 6 days in hospital with persistent fever, cough, headache, myalgias, nausea but lungs had been able keep up to that point with good oxygen saturation. Masimo oxygen monitoring started on discharge and easily logged in, navigated and shared app with my wife. 12 hours after discharge my covid pneumonia amd immune system went into overdrive and my oxygen dropped to 88%. Not normal for a healthy 45 yr old, 185 pound man. My wife saw the drop and woke me up to alert me, straight to ER and 6 days later after dexamethasone, Remdesivir and close monitoring I’m almost ready to go home! And still using the app in the hospital as a personal back-up the hospital monitors. Saved, my life!
