I started playing Mahjong over 20 years ago because I was in an MVA which caused 3 strokes and caused short term memory loss. I thought this game might help me, and I feel that over the years it has. However, at 56, my eyes aren’t what they used to be 🤣. I recently got an iPad because my phone just wasn’t cutting it anymore. But even on the iPad the tiles just aren’t big enough for me to see them well enough to make matches 😱😢. It’s really frustrating because I’m looking for a new game. I’m really tired of playing the same patterns again on my other games.
I've tried most of the mahjong apps and this is one of the best. Challenging, but winnable with a variety of traditional boards available. None of the kitschy non-traditional stuff found on other apps. The only flaw is in the menu system. You can't see what levels you have played or what scores you have achieved until you select and win a level after choosing that level solely by a number. That can be frustrating. Sometimes we old folks forget which number we have won or lost in the past!
I'm an avid Mah-Jongg player for well over thirty-five years. Of late, I've relocated several times and was unable to hook-up with a weekly game. This app is quick enough to keep me sharp, changes up its levels to keep me interested and easily recognizable to maintain authenticity. It suffices to play when the real MacCoy isn't. I thoroughly enjoy it.
