When we explored different apps to help us manage our finances (across joint accounts), Lumio best suited our requirements. The dashboard is very user-friendly, everything syncs seamlessly with our bank accounts, and it ticked almost all the boxes on our wish list. We contacted Lumio about a few features we’d love to see added, and were pleasantly surprised to speak to an actual person who was genuinely interested in our feedback. It sounds like others have requested similar improvements—such as the ability to split transactions (e.g., £100 spent at Sainsbury’s split between £50 groceries / £50 clothing) and the option to add tags to expenses (e.g., category = gift / tag = Christmas). We have since been told by the Lumio team that these features are in development. I highly recommend this app for its ease of use, strong functionality, and (so far) excellent support
I’ve been using MoneyDashboard Neon for a while now, despite some drawbacks (no support for a few banks/investment platforms that Lumio has). I gave Lumio another try recently and the new UI is brilliant, with support for additional banks and even my student loan provider is huge win for me. My only reservation is the Money Manager tab - the icons used for various categories aren’t very clear. It may seem minor, but the icons on MoneyDashboard Neon only comprise of one colour and are more minimal, making them easier to identify at a quick glance. The Money Manager tab should also introduce the ability to re-arrange subsections (like Yolt used to), as it’d be great to have the categories at the top (in my opinion).
I have struggled for years with keeping track of different accounts (and managing money)- Monzo for bills, Barclays for personal spending and my credit cards. So helpful to have finally have one place to check my balance and see my outgoings and incomings, particularly for upcoming payments that always used to take me by surprise! I have also used the app to find myself a great fixed saving account with Atom Bank that has been really helpful for my saving goals. Thank you Lumio :)
