To the developer, I wanted to express how much your users value all the effort you’ve put into this app. In my opinion, you’re offering what I believe is the best local AI generative app on MacOS/iOS, and it’s free! It’s rare for people to find a place where they can use an AI tool not only for free but also privately. Locally AI stands out because it offers the best design, features, and implementation for users who love learning, creating, and using AI, knowing their data isn’t being sent to data brokers or data mining companies with every prompt. Most other AI apps on the App Store aren’t updated or maintained, or they end up collecting user data. So, thank you again for all your hard work and time, and for continuing to invest in Locally AI. We’re very appreciative of what you’ve created.

I am an Information Security Analyst who also does independent AI Adversarial Security Research. This app is truly wonderful because - first and foremost - it does not collect any of my data. I made sure to review the privacy policy which confirms this. The ability to conduct sensitive local research on my iPad Pro (M4, 8GB) is refreshing. Often, being able to test against multiple models is the best way to discover new vulnerabilities and gain understanding into model behavior between LLM families (like Gemini vs Gemma, and GPT-5/4o vs GPT-OSS). The ability to be able to do this on my iPad while out and about or visiting family, or even taking a trip, is very useful. Initial testing showed that while no where near as sophisticated as LM Studio or other desktop class application, for what we are getting - for free no less - far exceeds my expectations. I still need to play around with it and see how far I can push it, but I am very satisfied with this app. Until the day that the iPad is allowed to run desktop level apps, this might just be the one to use. I have tried a few others, and none are as simple (easy to use) or with such model variety. Let alone privacy, the biggest concern of all.

This app is amazing! Literally it checks nearly all of the boxes for what an AI app should do. The fact that it works with Shortcuts allows the creation of incredibly powerful and complex automations to save time and stay up to date. If you are an AI enthusiast or even just curious about the benefits of its application this app really is the best you could ask for, and you should try it out. I think the only thing it needs to be perfect would be the ability to add files such as PDFs, Word Docs, etc., to conversations. Aside from that the options for models to use is great. The app has several “thinking” models and visual models to choose. It also provides information about its models: it lets you know if the model will run well on your iPhone; if it has high CPU usage or not; and if it has visual capabilities. So, TLDR: It’s a fantastic app! And I’d love support for adding documents to chats in the future.
