I work in logistics and my days are very chaotic. I tried tutors before but I always had to cancel because of client calls, and I lost the money of the lesson. I stopped after two months more or less. With this app I don’t need to reserve a class, I just open it when I have 5-10 min, normally in the morning before the office or when waiting for a meeting. I use the app mostly for work calls because I need English for my job. It helps me with speaking. I use the app six months already and my English is not perfect, but in the calls with our Germany office I don’t freeze so much now. For a busy person it works ok.
I decided to learn English to a native-speaker level about… 2 weeks before my trip. Yeah, I know… say nothing. I wasn’t sure at first if it’s safe to just talk to some AI like this tutor, like.. who knows if it's even speaking correctly? Yeah, I still don't really trust these AI stuff… but anyway, it’s actually kinda useful. The role-playing convos are pretty neat, I can practice ordering food or asking for directions without some human judging me, which is nice, feels kinda low key. I also really like that it’s not just random exercises, it actually shows rules and explains stuff, makes it way easier to remember than just drilling words over and over. Sometimes tho it gives weird suggestions and I end up double checking stuff. But yeah, overall it’s simple to use on my phone, and it helps me feel a bit more ready for when I actually talk to real people… hopefully I don’t sound too dumb.
I like that with this app I don’t have to worry about finding a real teacher's time that works for me. I can just talk to my tutor whenever I want even if it’s late night and I can just pick up my phone and start practice. The lessons feel really flexible and I can choose what I want to work on each day. I like the free talk and role=plays the most because it’s like having real conversations. And it’s much better than sitting in a classroom, and I feel I’m learning so much more this way! Overall, it makes speaking English a lot easier and fits perfectly into my daily routine!
