Learn Italian for Beginners

Would be an excellent app if it did not keep losing sound. Especially since you need sound to complete the quizzes. I made sure my volume was up and silent mode turned off. Even tried without AirPods and nothing worked. I deleted the app then redownloaded it and the sound issue was worse the second time. Very disappointed bc apart from that I really liked the content. I felt the repetitive nature of the quizzes was really helpful in memorizing the words and information. Also loved the words of encouragement throughout the lessons. Will check back in time to see if it’s been resolved. Also, not a fan of the update. Being shown how many more hearts I have to go before failing a quiz added anxiety that I could do without. And no I don’t want to upgrade to gain more hearts. It’s supposed to be fun learning. Please get rid of these features 🙏🏼💔

I continue to be astonished at the quality of this free app. It grounds you in basic theory and gives plenty of guidance toward practical usage. Lessons are sequential, building from the simplest of concepts with slowly-increasing complexity. He also takes pains to explain just *why* nuanced differences apply in varied word forms, and you can usually slow the audio to hear the nuance of pronunciation. Navigation is quick and easy, and although you will have ads to deal with, they are really not intrusive. I would gladly pay a nominal fee for a lifetime license with no ads. What a kindness this author has extended to language lovers!

I have been learning Italian for two years and enjoy listening to this app on the way to or from work. A couple of changes to this app would make this a five star app. Firstly, create a way so that users can press “play” and listen to all of the cards in a study unit without having to click the next > button every single time a word is done. Secondly, please fix the audio. Sometimes the audio works and sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve emailed this concern and it’s still not working properly. This app is extremely thorough in content and highly organized, but these two issues stated above make it difficult to keep using it.
