Lattice - The People Platform

I expected more from a company reportedly valued at $3–4 billion. The mobile app feels like a rushed afterthought: clunky, limited, and devoid of anything that adds real value. Basic navigation is there, but no depth, no fluid UX, and no meaningful features beyond the bare minimum. Frankly, it makes the brand feel like another people management “wannabe” instead of the standout it markets itself to be. The web version is solid (functional, structured, and helpful for performance reviews and goals) but the app does the opposite. It drags down the overall user experience and feels like it was built just to say they have an app. If this is the best they can offer in mobile, they should’ve skipped it entirely.

Because Lattice doesn’t work on mobile (what year is this?), I downloaded this app. It doesn’t work. It allows a manager to write a review, but not to see any of the feedback that is supposed to feed into that review. That’s supposed to be the whole point of Lattice: You take 360 feedback and boil it down to a review. My team spent dozens of hours writing peer assessments and they aren’t available in any form on a mobile device. I don’t know what kind of idiotic, lazy person thought this app (and lack of a mobile site) would be acceptable, but if I were writing that person’s review (obviously with only my own opinion because I can’t see any other feedback), I’d rate that person a “Does not perform” and initiate termination.

My company wants me to check on employees to make sure their Lattice goals have been updated. When I click on someone in the app I can only see their picture and email. Why would the app not let me see the full profile pages like the website? I can’t check employee updates so strike one. Speaking of my own profile, it’s useless! Why don’t we have functionality to update our goals or add notes through the app?? Strikes two and three. There is absolutely no chance that I could use this as a tool. I’m forced to go back to the website to get anything done. The UI design is pretty enough for an app, but seriously, why even bother making the app with no functionality?? Would have done zero stars if that was possible.
