Land Rover Remote

Thought I'd leave a review, and some tips since all of the recent reviews have been pretty bad. I just got a used Range Rover sport SVR (freakin pretty awesome). Initially, the app did not work. Then the Land Rover dealer reset the modem with me. to reset the modem we had to push and hold the SOS button for 10 seconds. Once I did that, Land Rover did some thing on their end and helped me through the process. The SOS button is on the middle interior front dome light just to the left.

Nothing good to say about this remote that is supposed to work with my 2018 Evoque. It doesn’t connect to my car 95% of the time. I can’t start my car remotely, climatize it, lock, beep and flash etc and I can never trust what it tells me about my car or where it is. Sometimes it gives notification of issues like service required or refuel when it 3/4 full and then they disappear only to reappear in a week when nothing has changed or sometimes never at all. Just overall a bad app that you must subscribe to in year 4 or 5. $120/year. I did not renew at that point. The dealership insisted it had improved and the car really needed it for all to work properly. Wish I hadn’t listen and done something worthwhile with my $120. There is another subscription with the car that expires next year and I’m sure that will require a fee also. These services should remain included for the life of the car with no subscription fee considering the original price of the vehicle and the fact that they are not reliable.

It’s worked about 98% of the time, starting, running climate, locking doors, beeping and flashing. No issues. Like a said a couple of times it had an issue connecting but that wasn’t the end of the world for me. I see all the hate for the app. Idk. I bought my 2020 defender this year (23) and it’s had no issues with the app really nearly working perfectly. My favorite feature is that I appreciate the ability to start the truck, get the climate going and lock the doors. Something I cannot do if I take the keys out of the vehicle and leave it running. That is frustrating living the the heart of Texas during the satans taint heat of the summer. Anyhoooo it works great. Hope it gets better for y’all! Thanks LR for the app. I guess kinda love it honestly.
