I am very sorry to write this review. The experience of booking & cancellation is good. But what I don’t understand is while 3 senior citizens have booked together you put them in different compartments and that too in upper births. Just inhuman attitude. While the preference is given for lower birth and it’s not available you should say that before confirmation. We would have booked for an alternate train. Kishore

I have been using ixigo for past several years now but their customer service and overall train ticket booking experience has degraded. Recently while booking a train ticket they showed available seats and in the end they handed me a WL47 ticket! On reporting the issue they asked me to give them 72 hours, while my money was stuck with them and I couldn’t book another ticket. Also while cancelling the ticket they gave back lesser amount than what IRCTC emailed me about. Stay clear of these type of apps when making urgent bookings or you might end up loosing your money and in most cases would end up paying for a WL ticket.

Stumbling upon this app was a pleasant surprise, as I have been constantly disappointed by other Indian railway apps, which suffer either from poor interface, slow response, or a crazy load of annoying ads. This app is a refreshing break from all those disappointments, as it offers a clean seamless interface- fast and intuitive, and completely ad free. On top of that, this app really personalizes the experience as a card gets added to your homepage when you check a PNR status, and shows highlights such as the train status on the home page itself. Moreover, it is very easy to jump from one info to another, for example, from PNR status to train status to coach placements, to even seat placements within the coach. Finally a great app for Indian railways that was long overdue. The only suggestion I would have is to enable creating an Apple Wallet card for a ticket in the sharing options for PNR status.
