iTranscribe - Audio to Text

I have audio processing issues and this is single handedly saving my grade! For most classes, all the information that is needed is provided in text on the PowerPoints or papers. But for one class, he does it old school with only figures on the PowerPoint and very little text. It’s so hard to follow him because he’s all over the place so I can’t read lips to understand what he’s saying. But he made these videos during lockdown that he still gives access too. I can put transcribe on and have it record the video through my speakers and IT WORKS!!! Of course it’s not perfect so definitely edit your transcripts, but the app makes it easy to do that. It has the recordings split up into roughly 10-20 second chunks and you can listen to only that chunk as you edit the transcript to make sure the transcript reflects what’s being said. Well worth the money!!

This has become the most important app I’ve ever downloaded. I spend a lot of time on the move, either at work or running errands that can take up my entire day. Before iTranscribe, it was impossible to record my thoughts in a meaningful way. All I could manage were simple “to-do” notes. Now, I can write full journals, outline and draft novels, and I’m even experimenting with writing pseudocode! I’ve gotten my time back thanks to iTranscribe. The only thing I would hope they add is a feature to quickly retry a recorded transcription. I often lose connection during my live transcriptions, and I’m not sure it catches up every time, like if I pause. In any case, iTranscribe has been a lifesaver for me. Big thanks to the devs!

I just downloaded this app, signed up for the 3-day free trial and then somehow my iPhone Face ID didn’t recognize me. This happens to me a lot, don’t know about anyone else, but am curious especially in this case. While I was getting up to get my iPhone Password to enter, somehow the message pops up and says something like “Congratulations. You have just signed up for the PRO version.” So now I’m wondering if I got myself into a jam and downloaded a scam app. So I got to the reviews and the first one I see was dated August 12th and read like this: THIS IS GOOD BUT IT’S NOT FREE, or something close to that. Can anyone from this app’s dev team or accounting dept please explain this to me? Happy to try it for 3 days, but I was instantly unhappy to see how this all went and then that review. Thank you. Last detail on ratings. I gave this only 1 star because I have not tried it yet and can’t rate something I haven’t used. When I went to submit my review it said I had to rate it. Found that to be a red flag, but okay, I’ll give it 1. If I find I love this app as I will edit this review or post a new one.
