This app and service would be great in theory however, when there is a problem, the problem is big. I was once at a car wash where I have a membership. The car wash shorted me three minutes and my vehicle was completely soapy. I asked for them to either turn the car wash on or credit my account on the spot so that I could pay for the additional minutes to finish my wash. They couldn’t do any of those things and their only solution was for me to pay out-of-pocket and then submit a credit. I canceled my car wash membership that day and their app told me that the last day to use the car wash was the day that I had canceled. Fast-forward a month and I have decided to give them another try.. When logging onto my account it now says that the last day to use my car wash is January 17. I called customer support to ask them to help me figure out what’s going on. They said that the day I canceled was the day service renewed and so I had another month. I said that’s fine but the app told me that the last day was the day I had canceled and so I had not been back to use the wash until today. Again asked for a credit for my unused time and they said they’re not responsible for me not using the time and that unless I have proof of their app airing out there’s nothing they can do. Gosh with a few simple tweaks and some great customer service. This could be a great business model, but unfortunately it in its current state I cannot support them.
The only participating EverWash car wash in Bend Oregon is Suds & Shine car wash on SE 3rd St. I always had admiration for all of the employees that work there. They are so nice and polite all the time and they work hard with great attitudes. The monthly cost of this service at this car wash wasn’t really worth it to me anymore. The place underwent a renovation to install all new equipment so while my wash times were suspended during that time, I stayed with the program for a few more months. My issue with this car wash is that their dryer blowers are weak and they never completely blow all the water from anywhere on my Yukon xl or my pickup truck. The windshield is always left with water on it and so is the hood and the rest of the car. Also, the price to belong to EverWash is more expensive than the local competition which is Surf Thru car wash, who has 2 car washes, one on the SE side of Bend and the other at the NW side of town. They are cheaper in cost , their machines clean and dry out vehicles better than Suds & Shine. They also have dozens of vacuum and air stations that Suds & Shine does not have at all. When Surf Thru blow drys your vehicle, their air nozzles are in motion and they have way more nozzles and the nozzles get closer to the windshield and the painted surfaces and they remove ALL the water residue. you don’t have to get out of your car and dry it. For the cost it is a way better wash and dry at a cheaper cost than Suds &shine.
Windham is where I signed up for the service. I’m very happy with the wash there and the staff is excellent and with them directly I have no issue. However, when I subscribed to the app, I had been a multi year customer of Golden Nozzle Car Wash and I expected unlimited to mean unlimited. That is not the case. It should say one wash daily because that is all you’re allowed. Also, when I signed up, I was under the understanding that my app was good for any EverWash facility. That also is not the case. As I found out that it is necessary to cancel the service at your home shop, get a credit, and apply that credit to wherever other locations you want to use the service. This is not very convenient at all. If it were not for the fact. That I have a GMC 3500 pick up with due wheels that won’t fit anywhere else, I would cancel the service. Figure out how to use the app at any location and the once a day wash instead of unlimited Would be an easier pill to swallow.
