I got a Fitbark for my 6 pound chihuahua as a safety mechanism. Being so small, it’s easy for him to escape through small gaps in fences and dart out of doors without being noticed, so the comfort of knowing exactly where he is at all times provides an immense amount of comfort. We chose this brand over other GPS collars bc it was the smallest/lightest and because their customer service was by far the most responsive when I reached out with questions. We’ve had our Fitbark for about a year now and every time I’ve had an issue, I was able to connect with an actual, knowledgeable human (no A.I.!) within 2 minutes and given solutions that easily solved the issue every time. I’ve never experienced such great customer care from any company, ever. Beyond that, the Fitbark does its job well. I love being able to see when my pup’s being active and playing with his friends or going on walks while we’re away. He’s young and healthy, but I know that we’ll one day run into a situation where he’s not feeling well and the activity and vitals trackers will provide data to help us identify and nip issues in the bud before they become more serious.
In Early April of 2022, we got our Fitbark. Miss Molly, an 8 year old Dorkie(Yorkie-Dachshund mix) has had lots of issues with her pancreas and back. The data her Fitbark tracker provides helps not only me, as a dog owner, but helps her vet keep an eye on her activity, sleep and health. In July of 2022, about 3 months into our tracker usage, Molly became lethargic and wasn’t wanting to eat. Her health scores and activity levels showed that very much. I scheduled an appointment, with her vet, and it turns out she had pancreatitis, again, for the 5th time. However, we caught it in the very early stages, and Molly was able to be at home, for her full recovery. The previous times, she would have to be admitted to the hospital, for several days for observation and fluids. Since I knew her normal numbers and percentages, I could tell much sooner that she wasn’t feeling well, and that I needed to get her extra help. Molly is my best friend, my emotional support partner, and helps me get through my long hours of home medical treatments, I have for my own chronic illnesses. I want her to be around, for as long as possible. Fitbark allow myself to do what I need to, so Molly help me through my life problems. I am so glad her pet insurance sent us the information, and that we decided to go ahead with purchasing. Molly and I are a team, and I want it to stay that way for as long as possible. Fitbark is just the tool for that job! Thank you!
Looking for a fitness tracker for my dogs and was kind of speckle at first thinking of it’s worth actually buying one and what is a good price for one. After trying to find the right one for my standard poodles, I ended up buying two of the FitBark collars just for activity because I have an Apple Watch so why not make it a family workout all the time. My dogs get walked 3-4 times a day with full playtime at the dog park ever other day, followed by going to daycare once a week to meet new friends. I can honestly say that buying these FitBarks were SO worth it!!!! I’m pretty sure im more excited to have them have one then they are but im sure they will understand and love when they start to realize I’ll be walking them more and getting them out to play more. It’s not about the price of one, it’s really about reading the reviews that people put on a product which is worth reading. So this is a must buy item! The app is amazing to check in and see how your dog or dogs are doing throughout the day, as well as how well they sleep which I always wondered if they slept well at night and they do!
