We are very thankful for this app. Over the past few years my 14 year old has listened to many many classics while washing the dishes. In fact, all my children have used this app. The 4 stars only are because after I change the font size for my younger reader, the font size does not stay changed when I scroll to another section of the book and come back.

This app is SO amazing! Here are the reasons I love it so much: There is only 1 book I listen to (the wizard of oz) and I listen to it JUST to put me to sleep and man oh man does it do its job! I fall right to sleep in the matter of one chapter! The cool this is, when you turn it on, you can turn your phone off and it will still play so if you fall asleep it will finish the book, then stop. Since your phone/computer is allready shut off, the battery is kept and it will not move on to another book. You jave the choise to read or listen to the book of your pick. I love how calm and sleepy the person who reads the wizard of oz is and some other books also. I truly suggest, you wont be disipointed!

This is the first audiobook or podcast player I know that gets the sleep timer right. Others are like the sleep timers in bedside radios. Set it for 15 minutes, and the sound goes off after 15 minutes—period. To listen more, you have to reset the sleep timer and restart the playing manually. Not so with the Loyal Books app. At my suggestion, the sleep timeout pauses play. Press the play button on your earphones, and it resumes play instantly with the sleep timer reset. You can keep resetting until you fall asleep. That matters because other sleep timers either time out before we fall asleep, forcing a restart that wakes us up, or time out long after we go to sleep. The latter means that the next day we have to manually scroll back some unknown length of time until we reach the last part of a book or podcast that we remember; That’s a nuisance. So many thanks for Loyal Books for being the first to get the sleep timer right. Perhaps others will follow and make that sleep timeout an easily reset pause.
