Iโve been searching for an app to plan my days as I juggle school and full time gainful employment. Add two kids and hobbies and Iโm booked from the moment I open my eyes to the moment I lay my head on my pillow. iOS already has decently powerful calendar and reminder apps. Iโve used them since the 3GS. But I wanted something more appealing, iOS preinstalled apps havenโt changed their look and feel in a long time. Enter Vantage. I was put off by the high price tag but did my research and read plenty of reviews. I used my free five entires and was hooked! The app is easy to use, looks amazing and is overall fun. Recall my comments on how busy my days are...around 13 entries in, the app started crashing with each new entry. As I pressed on the app failed from single tap actions. Now, it crashes as soon as itโs open. Iโve taken all the recommended troubleshooting steps to ensure itโs not my device. Then emailed the support team...twice. Iโm still awaiting a reply. The developer website doesnโt even supply a customer service number or email. Thereโs not even a FAQ section...my suggestion...download at your own risk. All purchases are final, so Iโm forced to reinstall the app and re-enter my events. Final verdict: your time is not worth the price tag. Feedback for the developer: take your customers seriously enough to provide at least a 24 hour SLA for emails (not hard). Also, provide an option to back up events to all of the big name cloud services (iCloud, OneDrive...etc).
This app has the best layout/theme Iโve seen on any calendar or to-do app. It is very clean, unique, and easy to read. I like that it is compatible with iPad as well. I do have few suggestions for what Iโd like to see on this app. The look and feel of the app is such a big deal to me, which is why I bought the full version very shortly after downloading. To be honest Iโm tired of looking at the boring, white background with black text and numbers on a not-so-versatile calendar app. That being said, Iโd love it if there was more customization for the colors of the themes. Also, if you were able to pick a particular font for your default font (it makes me not want to use the feature so much because you have to click it each time) along with changing the default font size. One last thing, I feel that the to-do books could use some of the same originality and customization options that the calendar does. Other than those couple of things you guys have made a really great app!
