Tayasui Tangram

This is a great app for little kids made by the team that also has Blocks for older kids, and the wonderful Sketches which is for everyone. I am teaching art in an elementary school and plan to use this as the first app I will show the youngest set of kids. I think it will work well because it is beautiful with its bright colors, simple to work with, and fun. There are 2 ways to play...using models (small 2-D puzzles with Tangram shapes that have some fun animations after you build them, and then a free-form area. There were some great sound effects, but somehow I have lost those even though my iPad has sound for other apps, and I don't see settings specific to apps. Was this caused by an apple upgrade? I really would like it fixed if so. And I also think adding a 3-d feel like the logo would be neat. In general, as n app for kids, this one has a lot of potential and will keep them engaged for a good amount of time. UPDATE: I had sound effects muted via Settings. This was separate from the volume level. My daughter found it for me.

A bit simple -- could use a bit more to do. Perhaps the oddest thing is that the title image shows 3D blocks, but all of the gameplay is entirely 2D. Feels a bit like a letdown as a result.

I sent this to my daughter for my grandson! I like how little ones can interact with the puzzle when done! Engaging colors and I hope more puzzles will be added! Thanks!
