This app is amazing. I think it’s going to help my painting a lot. Thanks!
Really impressed with GreyForge so far. Being able to photograph an unpainted miniature, choose a few basic ideas like race or skin color, and then see a finished painting concept is incredibly useful for planning a model before putting paint on it. What surprised me most is how well it recognizes the actual sculpt and preserves the details instead of simply generating a generic character. The painting guides are also genuinely useful, with specific Vallejo paint suggestions, washes, highlights, weathering techniques, and alternative paint matching. I especially like being able to generate the visual concept first and only create the painting guide once I know I like the scheme. There is still room for improvement—the generated guide can occasionally include details that weren’t on the original miniature—but the developer seems actively involved, and the core idea already works remarkably well. I liked it enough after testing several miniatures that I bought the 50-generation pack. For miniature painters who sometimes stare at a grey model wondering, “Okay… what colors am I going to use on this thing?” GreyForge is a very clever solution. ★★★★★
This app generates beautiful and accurate color renderings and the painting guides are awesome but the export to PDF option just sits there and spins and does nothing. It would great if it did work so a hard copy archive could be saved.
