Kurato: Movie, TV & Book Picks

I’ve been looking for something like this for quite some time. I added my favorite books, movies, and films and it got to work recommending me many more of my favorite of each. After an hour of adding media, I started getting recommendations for things I haven’t consumed, and all have been very good recommendations. I’m VERY impressed thus far. If I may make a suggestion: could there be some explanation as to how the star ratings affect the recommendations? I can’t tell if it’s better for me to mark something I’m not interested in as 1 star or “not interested”. For example, I gave Ready Player One a single star hoping the app would recognize I hate this book and others like it, and I immediately got a recommendation for Dungeon Crawler Carl because I “liked Ready Player One”.

Love the app! It makes it easier to find what you want, track what you watch, and discover something new. The only thing I’d love is the ability to track each episode I’ve watched and a bonus would be notifications for when the next episode drops
