Glimmer: Interactive Fanfics

I just love how Glimmer functions—the whole concept of true, interactive stories is a literal dream come true for fanfic readers 🥹🙌 As for complaints, I don’t have many. While I don’t mind the 100-turn limit; since I rarely ever use up all my turns, I really wish the limits for undos were increased. I spend 2 out of every 3 undos on a single canon event I’m trying to break. It gets frustrating when the AI refuses to cooperate, especially since the story I’m interacting with is supposed to be an actual sandbox RP. By the time I need another undo, I’m still on the same episode, waiting for a day to pass so that I can make the story to my liking. And guess what? While waiting, my limited turns remain unspent. So it remains a very tedious process waiting and fixing the story to your liking. Aside from that, good job Glimmer devs! Keep up the good work and someday you’re going to go big! C:

Easily a good 4.5 from me—but we can’t rate that, can we? So I’m rounding up. I’m a sucker for a good self-insert, and sometimes reading xReader on tumblr isn’t enough. The only issues I’d argue is that the ‘countdown’ meter for turns is rarely accurate. You’ll get a rounded number till you get to approx 30 turns or below, and then it’ll start counting. That, and sometimes the AI does force situations on you you’ve outlined you wish not to go forth with (it’s as bad as DARE promised me it would be in here sometimes). But reading people’s crafts, and being able to throw myself into stories in a way that makes the world pass by? Always a 10/10, every time.

I’ve really enjoyed getting to write fanfics while getting to read some of the ones people make. It easy to use and really entertaining especially for someone that love reading. The only thing would be that I tend to use up all my turns and having to wait a couple hours for them to refill. It doesn’t give you an unlimited pass for that. Another is that you can only write a couple sentences since it has a limit to how many letters you can write down. Other than that its a really great app and I really enjoy reading people’s fanfics
