SelectBlinds® Automation

Controlling and setting up the blinds is actually fairly simple with this new app compared to the old way SelecBlinds did things with the Bond system. Some huge benefits are being able to set the “limits” very easily within the app and not having to use a remote control with weird button combinations to fine tune things. A huge drawback to this new system is that it no longer uses the 400MHz frequency, simply relying on Bluetooth. As a result I’ve found consistent issues controlling the blinds with the app or remote. I have 5 blinds, all within about 15 feet of a remote or hub. However almost 50% of the time one of the blinds doesn’t respond to a signal. So this app is an improvement in setting up blinds and fine tuning, but the overall system in total is actually a couple steps back in terms of actually responding to commands on the first try.

I’ve been using this App for a few weeks now and it has been working great. I’ve set a couple scenes that run on a schedule, super easy and SO convenient!

Was able to set up my shades in minutes. App makes it really easy to customize my rooms and set up timers - nice!
