RedHen for Customers

I’ve always wanted to buy from local farms but never knew how to find them. Red Hen solved that problem instantly. The app shows all the growers in my area, what they’re selling, and makes ordering simple. I’ve already connected with three local farms and a backyard gardener. This is how food should be bought - directly from the people who grow it. Game changer!

Not enough participants and a Stripe account is REQUIRED and the only option for payment through the app. That limits who will actually use this app and limits profits for these farms. Also, stripe transaction fees seem excessive.

The buttons look and feel good. The food products have pictures and descriptions. The app loads fast and shows relevant details, giving browsing by product, by location, and by search criteria. We love the direction these developers are taking this switch towards connecting local farmers to hungry people without the middlemen fees. Oh and they fixed or survived the temporary issue! Confirmation codes were delivered in seconds, both by email and text. Nice!
