Grim Tales 26: Mystery Game

What a fabulous game! As Anna Gray, you must save your father from your lunatic of a brother. The one thing I could say that I really missed was that Richard, Anna’s father, did not make any snide remarks! We were given a plethora of enjoyable tasks to accomplish and puzzles and minigames to suit every player. There was a decent variety of hidden object scenes for us to acquire inventory items. The only issue was that the touchscreen sensitivity on the gameplay interface could’ve been more sensitive, and the text written in the HO lists could’ve been larger. Elephant needs to realize that it’s target demographic is women over the age of 55, who don’t always have the best vision. Other than that, it was a fantastic game. My rating will be 4.5 stars. I deducted a star for the aforementioned reasons.

This game has been a lot of fun to play. I love the mystery- hidden picture type games but sometimes the puzzles get stale. This one has new ideas. I like it.

I was worried for a time that Grim Tales might fall over the edge and become a shadow of his former self but this one is just loads of fun. I love the new Richard and I love what appears to be a coming series that follows his attempts to rectify past mistakes. Anna and her newly regenerated father still work together, but at a distance for now yet it still works. I enjoyed it greatly, and will play it again in the future. Well done! (my only very minor complaint is that the ending happens within a few seconds — I would like to have seen a bit more to finish off the story.)
