The gameplay, animations, and sound effects are all fantastic! A game of this high quality with zero ads and zero in app purchases is truly a miracle! The only thing I’d change is an option to turn the music and sound effects off. Other than that, this game is basically perfect!

I, like a lot of other reviewers, have had a broken game since the 1.4.4 update, with the game stuck on the loading screen with a red flashing ! in the top right corner. I finally decided to try and see if a redownload of the app would fix it and well after deleting and redownloading, my initial level 50 character is completely gone and I have to start over from level 1 (the only purchase tracked for restoring is one that includes a “no ads” feature, so be wary if you’ve spent more money) and while I like playing the game, I’m super bummed to have to redo the entire month and a half of playtime I put into the game to get back to where I was. So just a word of caution if you’ve spent a lot of money on packs in this game; just wait and see if they’ll put a fix through or have a way to restore lost characters. Or really ask yourself if you want to start all over and take the jump i unintentionally did.

It falls victim to the issues of many ftp games—statistically unlikely randomness that always go against you, and statistically unlikely number of 10-12 rolls forcing you around the board at a high speed to get you to the boss (and monster level-up) very quickly before you can strengthen your character. More balancing needed (just make it genuinely random!!) and more clarity around where you build what you’ve just purchased. Is that random? If so, why have a build button at top that doesn’t seem to do anything? So much cute potential, I’ll give it a try some more, but it works against the player more than almost any other game of its kind that I’ve tried…..
