Be Brave, Barb

If you’ve played the Dadish series, Be Brave Barb does not disappoint!! It’s a cute platformer with the same humor of the Dadish series, and though it’s slightly 3D which I think is unnecessary and makes certain jumps a bit hard to time (especially when going left on the screen), it’s still a very enjoyable game. One bug: when in timed mode, some of the level time records don’t get saved the next time you open the app! I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’m unable to get any more timed records saved after I did a few levels on timed mode.

Dear Thomas young I have a suggestion. You should add a gallery where you can view all of the positive affirmations you have collected throughout the game. Just an idea. I think it would be cool to have that instead of having to recollect them in the levels just to read them again. Also there is a bug where when I try to restart the level before I die i’ll end up dying anyways when the screen turns black before setting you back to the beginning. Every time it does that it will crash the app please fix this. And one last thing the buttons to scroll through the levels is very slow and unresponsive. Fix these issues and consider adding a gallery then this game would be five stars. Sincerely Gamer boy 231.

Oh how I want to love this game. It’s bright and colorful and happy. The 3D graphics are crisp and the audio is bouncy. And the feel of jumping from platform to platform is super fun - when it works. But there’s the rub: it doesn’t always work. Sometimes, Barb does one thing; sometimes, she does another thing. Sometimes, it’s what you meant to do; sometimes, it’s completely off the wall. If there are rules to how the gravity works, I can’t figure them out, as Barb is unpredictable. I’m stuck on level 13 and cannot get her to respond in a predictable way from one attempt to the next. Having played this level dozens of times, I’m stopping here until a fix comes.
