Crossword Go!

I enjoy this game very much. I like that there is an opponent which makes it competitive. However if there are 3 or less letters left to fill in a word, especially the longer words, when I press Go the app will fill in those letters and I won’t get points for it. A lot of times I know what the word is but it never gives me the one or two letters I need. When it does this I can lose to the opponent and get no score. It’s as if the game is programmed to compete with me. I paid for no ads because I really liked it at first. If this issue continues I will delete the game anyway. March 29 update The game has become predictable. I’m in the high 900’s. I know I will never get certain letters. What it does is give you several of the same vowels so you have no choice but to insert them all where they go. Then the puzzle will fill in the consonants and complete the words. Next draw it will give you other vowels you have to fill in. Next draw, oh here comes some consonants but none will fill in any of the words needing another letter. Then, boom! It fills the words again. This goes on with every puzzle as you get into the higher levels. It’s no longer fun. It’s like the computer is playing against you and also holds all the letters. I’ve been assured by the developers that the game is fair for all. It’s redundant and becoming boring. I paid for no ads and hate to delete the game but nothing has changed. Bummer because I really liked it at the beginning.

Good crossword game although disabling WiFi or turning on airplane mode is a MUST to avoid ads. Removing 1 star because the AI opponent should be an optional mode, as it requires other strategies to “win,” like anticipating its moves and withholding letters to ensure you complete the word. I believe most players simply want to solve the puzzle. The AI opponent does, however, inadvertently provide you with hints as it works to solve the puzzle alongside you, which can be helpful, but can quickly become more annoying than anything as it is programmed to stay within a certain range of your points. It doesn’t matter if you play well or not. The opponent will always have the necessary letters to earn the points it needs to stay at a competitive level based on your play. In short, the AI always has access to any letter you currently don’t have and can play any of them, as needed, to stay at a certain difficulty level. You will at times feel cheated

I started playing it as the side game on the word search game. At first I just didn’t understand it and thought it was annoying but once I started playing and understood it I became obsessed and searched out this app. There are several others that are similar but THIS ONE is the best by far! I’ve found that several games are good at first but then reveal that they are all about auto play ADS and paying real $$$ for advancement but THIS ONE is different! It’s one of the few that has an option to pay a small amount for a LIFETIME OF NO REQUIRED ADS. Sure you can watch ads for extra rewards but it’s not at all necessary. The ONLY PROBLEM if you even consider it a problem is that it is positively addictive! One of the very very few games that I have rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I refuse to rate games before I have played a while and most get deleted before I get that far.
