This app has since updated and add every feature I could have wanted
Right out of the gate this app is smooth and polished. I don't believe in the philosophy that something has to be perfect to earn 5 stars, as there's always room to improve and by that metric nothing would be 5-star worthy. Thus, even though there are things I think could be better, this is still a 5-star app for me. I've already been in contact with the dev and they're very responsive to constructive feedback, which makes me very excited for the future of the app. This is a really strong foundation and has great potential to continue improving.
I have a huge apple note to track all the places I’ve been as well as where I want to go based on referrals and recommendations so this app is right up my alley. I like that you have the options to add more cuisine types and the map to see all the places is super helpful. A few features I still need that would make this a 5-star experience would be: - Ability to edit/add/remove categories (I want to group restaurants by types like breakfast, brunch, etc. I would also like multi-select on categories so I can mark a restaurant with all the options is provides. - When I put in a restaurant, auto pull in a photo of the place either from Google or maybe allow me to take a photo in the cases where there is not a photo already - Allow me to take photos of dishes and associate them with the dish name so I can remember what the dish looked like that I got - Pull in hours of operation from Google search so I can filter on the map by what is open now or when I want to go - Allow me to book reservations when available through services like Google and OpenTable
