I played for about 30 minutes straight, and died at some point. The game itself looks pretty good, and the puzzles/exploration aspects are nice, but Iโd rather not start from the very beginning every time I die. A continue option starting the player at the beginning of the level they died at would be greatly appreciated, considering that most levels look very similar. (& maybe making the control buttons a bit smaller, leaving more room for controlling the camera) With the above issues fixed, this would easily be a 5/5; fun small Poolrooms-type game!
If youโve ever wanted to play a game that makes you experience the same feeling when youโre running from something in a nightmare and your legs weigh a thousand pounds each, look no furtherโ this is the perfect game for you! And by perfect I mean 1/5 stars ๐ I was excited to play this as I love poolrooms/liminal core, but the walking feature is SOOOO SLOW!!! Thereโs a button that lets you โrun,โ except itโs not much faster than the walking pace and only lasts for around 2 seconds before you resume sluggishly poking along. Then you have to wait a few more seconds before youโre able to use the running feature again. The background music becomes obnoxious and unnecessary after the first five seconds, and randomly fades in and out with weird chunky beats that donโt match the liminal vibe. Not only that, but youโre supposed to be escaping from a monster who shows up each new level, but how can you do that successfully if youโre only able to walk two steps an hour??? Would not recommend if you hate slow walkers irl, thisโll make you want to chuck your phone at a wall ๐ญ
So you can only look at this review if you want information about this monster. So you had been wondering about this clear-human-like monster this monster is called the Clearboss, also known as the Glitchman. The Glitchman only chases you when youโre about to exit. His story was scary. So he was just a man, walking around his house as usual, but one day, he saw a weird pool in his backyard, it seemed deep to him. But when he dived, a venomous animal bitten his head. The toxins turned him clear. Now, his head was cut and he teleported in the Wetrooms, roaming chasing people when they tried to exit. Note: I have to be real but this is fiction and non-fiction.
